Thanks to Anjeli and Nataliia for working a street team event in San Francisco yesterday. The girls took over the streets entertaining and educating consumers about an online entertainment guide. The models were giving away cupcakes to new subscribers, sounds like an amazing deal to me. Thanks to the models for doing an amazing job...can't wait to do it again!

NYE Event - Miami!

Congratulations to our male models that are booked for the NYE event in Miami. These guys will be working as part of a street team for 3 nights in a row around all of the best places in Miami. The guys have been booked and will be promoting a very popular liquor brand, their goal is to educate consumers and hand out promotional items. If you are in Miami you will definitely see these guys, they will be everywhere. Have fun guys!

Website Update!

Were getting ready to update our website again, it's something we like to do a couple times a year. Pink Avenue Models is constantly getting new models and planning new events and we like to display that. This year was such a great year for us and we can't wait for 2011. Pictures For Your Portfolio

Pink Avenue Models receives a lot of calls from models with a variety of questions. I get asked about pictures and portfolios a lot. Photo shoots can be hard work but are a lot of fun at the same time. This is a time for models to let loose and be someone they can't be everyday. It's about dressing up, wearing fun clothes and crazy make up with wild hair. Having creative photos in your portfolio is great but make sure you have simple, commercial ones as well. Here are a few photos that every portfolio needs and pictures we need to get you booked:

Head shot: This is necessary and an image that we send to all of our clients. This is a close up of your face, they are best if you are smiling but not necessary. A natural look is best.

Body shot: Everyone assumes that this has to be a swimsuit or lingerie shot, we actually prefer a tank top and skinny jeans. We want to see the shape of your body but don't need to see the whole thing. Please keep your naked pictures to yourself.

Candid: We want a natural picture of you, unprofessional, not edited. This is something you can take by yourself or a picture of you out. Make sure that you are the only one in your picture, we want to see what you really look like.

We recommend that you send your natural pictures to modeling agencies, save your artsy, creative pictures for your online portfolios. Our clients want to see how you will look at their event. Have fun at your photo shoots and send us updated pictures!

Fancy Food Show 2011!

We started casting models for the 36th Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco today, this show looks amazing! This trade show will take place at the Moscone Center on January 16-18, 2011. Every year this trade show attracts over 17,000 attendees and has over 80,000 products to sample, 1,300 exhibitors from 35 countries. This show will have tons of seminars, workshops, tastings, cooking classes and events, there is a lot to learn at this show. This will be a great start to our trade shows in 2011.

Promotional Model Necessities

It's already mid December, where did 2010 go? The team at Pink Avenue Models is looking forward to a busy 2011 and we want to make sure all of our models are ready too. Here is a list of items that all promotional models should have in their closet. Its nice to be prepared for all types of events.

Trade shows: Most clients go for a conservative look. Black dress pants, white button up shirt, black blazer, black dress, pencil skirt, and comfortable black heels are a must for trade show models. Sometimes the clients provide a branded shirt or costume, it depends on the type of trade show.

Liquor promotions: Black mini skirt, black knee high boots and a branded shirt are common for these types of events. Some of the off premise events just request all black.

Street teams: We won't have many of these in Chicago for a couple months but the warmer cities will have tons. Most street teams require khaki pants/shorts or black pants. Make sure you have a pair of white gym shoes for events like these. The client usually provides a branded shirt and sometimes hats for these events.

Special events: Black dress! Special events usually take place at a nice hotel or fancy restaurant so the models have to look their best. Hair, make up, a classy dress and nice heels are a must.

If you have all of these items you are all set and probably have a lot of experience in the modeling industry. If you are missing any of these items I recommend getting them. It's always nice to be prepared. Lets finish 2010 and get ready for an amazing 2011!

AHR Expo 2011 - Las Vegas!!

The AHR Expo is coming back and bigger than ever, did I mention it's in Las Vegas this year? This is a huge show and Pink Avenue Models has already started booking trade show models. The AHR Expo (International Air Conditioning Heat and Refrigerating Exposition) will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 31-February 2. There will be over 45,00 attendees that come from all 50 states and 120 countries and over 1,800 exhibiting companies. This is the worlds biggest HVACR trade show and will have tons of seminars and product presentations. This is the 63rd annual show and they just keep getting bigger. Only 52 days away!

Thanks To Our NYC Models!

Pink Avenue Models staffed an event at the 40/40 club in New York last night for a tv show on TLC. Our models were hired to act as part of the party for a new bike release on OCC American Chopper. The models showed up in their skinny jeans, black heels and promoted Headrush in a fitted tank, sexy! Thanks to all of the models that worked this last minute event! We love you New York!
