MidWinter Meeting - Success!

The MidWinter Meeting has come and gone. It took over McCormick Place in Chicago from February 24-26 and had over 30,000 attendees. We teamed up with a new client and provided models for this trade show. Here is a picture of one of our models doing what she does best.

10 Things To Remember During An Event

Just a few reminders before we head into busy season. There are a few things that we expect from our models at every single event, here is a short list.

1. Return your model contract and W-9 Form asap! We need this before your event.


2. Make sure you have the onsite contact number, and your agency contact number saved.


3. Have the address to the event, or directions and make sure you leave enough time to get there.


4. Arrive to your event on time which means 15 minutes early.


5. Wear the right attire! This is important, if you show up in the wrong outfit you can be sent home.


6. Show up with hair and make up done.


7. Help the client with anything that they ask. Job positions are never set in stone and can change at anytime.


8. Always represent the product to the best of your ability. If you don't know the answer to a consumers question, ask someone that does. Never give wrong answers and never talk negatively about competitors.


9. Smile, have fun and be the best promotional model you can be. Events can be a lot of fun, remember to remain professional.


10. Return any attire that the client needs back, fill out time sheets if needed, send in any receipts.

We have a lot of events coming up not to mention we are heading into Spring/Summer which is always the busiest time of the year for our industry. Just remember these few things when you are booked for one of our events. We look forward to working with all of you.

DTA Today!

Today the DTA is taking over Chicago! The Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) will be at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place all day today. From 8am until Noon is the DTA World Dental Trade Conference followed by the DTA Preview Show from 1-5:30. Our model Gaby will be representing one of our clients at the preview show. The dental industry will be taking over Chicago the rest of the weekend, the MidWinter Meeting starts tomorrow. Thanks in advance to all of our models working these trade shows, we appreciate it!

ProMat 2011

Pink Avenue Models started casting for ProMat 2011 today, only 27 days until the show starts! ProMat will be taking over McCormick Place March 21-24, we are expecting over 30,000 attendees for this trade show. ProMat showcases equipment and system solutions that make the supply chain work. There will be 2 keynotes, 2 educational tracks and over 80 educational sessions. This show is a must for anyone in the material handling and logistics industries. Attendees can expect to learn how to streamline their operations, improve visibility, cut costs, reduce carbon footprint and so much more. We are excited to staff models for this trade show.

AudiologyNOW! 2011

Pink Avenue Models started casting models for AudiologyNOW! today. This trade show will take place in Chicago at McCormick Place April 6-9. AudiologyNOW! is the world's largest gathering for audiologists, and for 4 days provides educational sessions. AudiologyNOW! will be taking over Chicago in just 55 days.

Great Bridal Expo - Atlanta!

We started casting models in Atlanta yesterday for The Great Bridal Expo coming up this Sunday. We have staffed this event in Chicago, San Jose, San Francisco, Ft. Lauderdale and now Atlanta. This show is a must for anyone planning a wedding. It's a way to meet with companies in all industries to plan the best wedding. We are so happy to provide models for this show and love being a part of it.

SXSW - Austin!

Hello Texas! We love the south and can't wait to staff models for SXSW. The SXSW Music and Media Conference will be taking over Austin for the 25th year in a row. SXSW is the biggest and most anticipated festival of the year for music lovers. During the day people attend the trade show at the Austin Convention Center and at night people attend the party. There are hundreds of bands performing and over 80 stages. SXSW starts March 11th and goes through the 20th. Some of the sponsors for this event include Miller Lite, Chevrolet, Pepsi, Monster and so much more. This is going to be a great event for everyone, including our models.

International Home & Housewares Show 2011

We started casting models for the International Home & Housewares show in Chicago today. This show will be taking over McCormick Place March 6-8, we are expecting over 60,000 attendees and will have over 2,000 exhibitors from over 35 countries. There will be 15,000 US buyers, and 6,000 international buyers from over 100 countries and 6 continents. This trade show has any product that you use in or out of your home. The show is broken into 4 categories, clean and contain, dine and design, wired and well, and global crossroads. This is a huge show and a fun one for our models to work. The Pink Avenue Models Hockey Team

The staff at Pink Avenue Models works hard and in this industry the work never ends. We are always booking trade shows, events, and street teams in the office, we even stop by some of the local events. When there is time for fun we are definitely part of that as well. A couple weeks ago there was a pond hockey tournament and a chance for Pink Avenue Models to do some branding of its own. Here is a picture of the team!
