Pink Avenue Models is teaming up with a new client for an exciting event in Chicago. This event will take place mid May in the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. We are currently casting promotional models to wear flapper costumes, hand out food samples and interact with attendees. This is another fun event for the models to be part of, can't wait!

NeoCon 2011!

NeoCon will be taking place at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago June 13-15. This 3 day trade show is a great place to discover thousands of products and resources for health care, hospitality, retail, corporate, government and residential interiors. There will be displays from over 700 showrooms and exhibitors. This is the biggest show in North America for this industry with over 40,000 industry professionals and over 140 seminars and forums. This is your one stop destination for ideas in this industry. We are excited to team up with our new client and have begun casting promotional models for this event. Just 1.5 months away!

Off Broadway Shoes Event - Success!

The past 2 weekends Pink Avenue Models had a team of promotional models working at Gurnee Mills. The models were hired to promote the opening of Off Broadway Shoes. Our team spent 5 days greeting mall attendees, handing out coupons and directing people to the store. Sammara, Toya and Kasia did a great job, thanks girls! Here is a picture from the event!

National Hardware Show - Las Vegas

Pink Avenue Models started casting for the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas and we are really excited! This trade show will take place May 10-12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show floor will be broken up into 9 areas to make it easier for show attendees to navigate through. There will be over 27,000 professionals attending this show. This show is a great place for industry professionals to source, trade and learn about products sold for the home. There are over 2,300 vendors and over 100,000 products on display. This is a huge show and we are excited to provide trade show models for it. Have fun in Vegas!

Get Booked!

Busy season has arrived and we want everyone to work as much as possible! There are so many ways to find work in this industry and we want to make sure every promotional model is booked as much as possible. Here are a couple tips on getting booked this Summer.

• Make sure that you submit your info to as many marketing companies and staffing agencies as possible. The more agencies that you are signed up with, the more opportunities you will hear about.


• Use Facebook! Facebook has taken over the world and can be very useful. You should "Like" all of the companies that you work for, this is a way to learn about events in your area.


• Craigslist is a great resource to find work, just keep in mind that this is a free site and to be cautious.


• Use websites like EventSpeak, Marketing Rockstar, Stuck for Staff. These are great ways to find jobs, and post resumes.


• Word of mouth. Ask your fellow promotional models if they know of anything and make sure you recruit good models when you know of something.


• Model Mayhem has jobs and is a great way to find photographers, MUA's and set up TFP shoots.

Start sending your pictures and resumes to as many companies as possible and get booked! Make sure you have your khaki shorts and gym shoes ready because Spring/Summer season has arrived!

Become A Pink Avenue Model!

Pink Avenue Models gets tons of model submissions every week and we really enjoy looking through them. The team at Pink Avenue only wants the best promotional models representing our clients so we are a little picky about who we add to the database. When submitting to Pink Avenue Models here are a few things to keep in mind...

• Make sure that you fill in all required fields. We need to know all of the information that we are asking for.


• Attach 4 pictures. We want a head shot, body shot, candid picture and your favorite picture. Please send pictures that are clear. We like professional pictures but they are not required. We want natural looking pictures that look like you, pictures are how models get booked.


• We want promotional resumes! This helps us sell you to clients.


• Make sure that all of the information is accurate, weight, height, phone number and everything else is important and we need correct information.


• Check the box giving us permission to use your images to book you work.

As I mentioned before, we are picky about who we work with so we do not add everyone to the team. If you are fun, outgoing, professional, reliable and looking for promotional work please submit your info. We look forward to working with you!

NAMA 2011!

One of my favorite trade shows is coming to McCormick Place April 27-19. Its the 75th anniversary for NAMA and TheOneShow! Over 4,000 people will attend this trade show with over 250 exhibitors. Anything that can be sold in a vending machine will be at this show, think coffee, tea, chips, candy, soda. The exhibitors at this show will be vending machine manufacturers, coffee, tea, water service manufacturers, and suppliers of goods and services that aid vending machines. This is always a fun show for our models to work.

Gurnee Mills Event!

Pink Avenue Models is teaming up with a new client for a promotion at Gurnee Mills mall. This event will take place 5 days in the next 2 weeks. Our promotional models will be greeting people entering the mall and telling them all about a new store. Make sure you stop at Gurnee Mills and get your coupon for your new pair of shoes. We are excited for this event and can't wait to see our models in action.

Porter Airlines Event - Success!!

Pink Avenue Models teamed up with a new client for a 7 day event. This promotion was a little different then most and the team actually flew to Canada for training! The models were hired to promote a Canadian Airline to the people of Chicago. We wanted everyone to know that Porter Airlines flies from Chicago to Toronto and if you book your flight before April 24th you can save 30%. The team took over the streets of Chicago all week, they were seen at Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, Water Tower, the Financial District, Millenium Park, Union Station, Buckingham Fountain, Michigan Ave, on the trains and everywhere in between. By the end of the week the team made a huge impact on the city of Chicago and had everyone talking. Thanks to Han, Holly, Roberta, Karen and David for working, you were an amazing team!
