C2E2 Starts Tomorrow!!

The staff at Pink Avenue Models is really excited about this show and so is the city of Chicago. There was a 2 page article in the Red Eye today and it said that they are expecting over 30,000 attendees which would make this just as big as ComicCon in New York. This is the first year for C2E2 and they are doing it big! There will be tons of celebrities that will be doing signings and taking pictures and the cast of Kick Ass will also be there. If you haven't bought your tickets yet there is still time, they are $25 online and will be $30 on site. You do not want to miss this show, there will be tons of costumes, tons of action, exciting events and huge after parties. C2E2 will take over Chicago starting tonight with the pre party. We will have tons of pictures of our models and the whole show for you on Monday. Enjoy!

Model Submissions - What To Do And What Not To Do

Pink Avenue Models gets tons of model submissions every day which we love. We are a modeling agency and can't accept everyone, we look for beautiful, smart, outgoing, experienced models. We get a lot of submissions that are not filled out how we want them. Today I want to make a little list of what to do and what not to do when submitting your profile on our website. Please follow these tips for a better chance of becoming a Pink Avenue Model.

DO NOT DO...

1. Don't upload blurry pictures


2. Don't upload pictures that don't show your face. Your face is what sells you in this industry!


3. Don't try to submit fast and skip important areas. We are asking for all of your information for a reason, we need it.


4. Don't upload 4 of the same picture, we can't do anything with that.


5. Don't send naked pictures, we would never send that to a client.


6. Don't put your model name on the form, we need your real name.


7. Don't send pictures of yourself with friends in it drunk at a bar.


8. Don't send pictures with huge logos on them, we want to show you not the photographers logo.

DO THIS...

1. Do follow the submission page and fill in the required information correctly.


2. Do upload 4 pictures, 1 head shot, 1 body shot, 1 favorite picture and 1 candid picture.


3. Do upload a promotional resume with all of your modeling experience, not your career resume of unrelated jobs.


4. Do tell the truth, I need your real height and weight, your real address and information.


5. Do send your best and most recent pictures. Pictures from 4 years ago will not work.

This is the modeling industry and we are picky about what models we work with. We want reliable models that take their work seriously. Please take the time to submit your online profile and do it correctly. We are always looking for female and male models to work promotions, trade shows, street teams, print, and anything else that comes our way.

Get Bikini Ready Fast!

The weather is getting warmer in Chicago and everywhere else which means swimsuit season...who's ready? It was a long winter and I am sure some of our models ate some fattening foods and missed a few work outs. It's ok, I did some research today and found some easy steps to lose 10 pounds. If our models make these simple changes they should be confident in their bikinis in no time!

1. Use smaller plates. When you use a big plate you will eat more food that you don't necessarily need.


2. Make sure your plate if at least half vegetables or fruit. The remaining part should be a lean protein.


3. No more soda or sugary drinks. These are full of calories.


4. Don't add things on...skip the cheese, mayo, ranch and any other addition.


5. Plan your meals. Eating on the go or at fast food restaurants is never good.


6. Add heavier weights to your work out. The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn.


7. Eat breakfast! This is so important. Try to have a breakfast that is full of fiber.


8. Eat every 3-4 hours instead of 1-3 meals a day. Eat healthy snacks throughout the day.


9. Watch your portions. This will help! Overeating is why we gain weight.

Las Vegas is an amazing city that always has something going on. This city is beautiful, entertaining and unlike any other city in the country. It's known for wild nights, beautiful women, great shows, famous people and so much more. Vegas has a great convention center that hosts some of the biggest shows in the country. C2E2 2010 - 9 Days Away

Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo is coming up and I am really excited about this show. C2E2 will be taking over McCormick Place April 16th-18th. Expect to see the latest and greatest in comic books, movies, television, toys, and video games. There will be hundreds of exhibitors, tons of attendees, autograph signings, and screenings of movies and new shows. There is always something to do at this show and it's a lot of fun for our Chicago trade show models to work. Pink Avenue Models is teaming up with some exhibitors at the show this year. Look for our models at the show, they will be wearing awesome costumes. Pictures will be posted immediatley after the show.
