Ryder Cup 2012!

The Ryder Cup is in town and started today! This huge event will go all the way through September 30th and is taking place at the Medinah Country Club. Thousands of people are attending this event, and hundreds of promotional models are working it. It is such a high profile event with tons of celebrities, amazing athletes and great fans. Automotive Testing Expo 2012

The 10th annual Automotive Testing Expo is back in Novi, Michigan and we are happy to be part of it. This is the show to be at so you can see the latest technologies and services. There will be over 200 exhibitors at this trade show! They are expecting a bigger and better show then last year. Models: Keep Your Skin Clear

Let's face it, promotional models are hired for their outgoing personalities but obviously their looks as well. The first thing people notice when they see a model should be their face so clear skin is mandatory. The team at Pink Avenue Models is always doing research on things that are important in this industry. Today we searched everywhere to find important skin tips. Do these things and never worry about another break out.

1. Keep your skin clean. Wash your face in the morning, and before bed. Sleeping with make up on is the worst thing you could do.
2. If you do have a break out, do not pop it! This causes scaring, swelling and makes it even worse.
3. Use an on the spot treatment if you do feel something popping up. It will speed up the healing process.
4. Use a retinoid, this will prevent wrinkles, fade spots, prevent acne and build collagen.
5. Don't over dry your skin.
6. Try not to stress, stress hormones create oil.
7. Protect your skin, which means sunscreen everyday. Buy a brand that has it and can be used as your daily moisturizer.
8. If you have scars from previous acne use a scar treatment to help them fade.

There are a few helpful hints to keep your skin clear and beautiful year round. We want you to look your best when working at trade shows or any other event.

Ready For A Busy Trade Show Season?

Summer is pretty much over in Chicago, it's 55 degrees outside right now. Yes, we may get a couple more warm days but all of the Summer weather is gone and so are all of the Summer events. This means that street teams will slow down and you can put away your gym shoes and khaki shorts. However, Fall is extremely busy for trade shows so we want to make sure you have everything you need to get booked for these. Every trade show is different and require different attire but there are a couple items that are requested often. Here's a short list of things that you should have in your closet for a busy trade show season.

1. Black dress. Not to short or revealing. Keep it conservative.
2. Black pencil skirt.
3. Black dress pants.
4. Blazer.
5. Black closed toe heels. Think small heels, you will be standing for 8+ hours.
6. White collared shirt.
7. Black flats. Some clients will let you get away with wearing these. Buy the dressy ones.

There is my list of 7 things that you will need for trade shows this season. A lot of these items will be requested year round for other events so they are good things to have in your closet. Maybe you have everything already, if not I gave you a reason to shop. Happy trade show season!
