Easy Holiday Detox!

Holiday season has started and it isn't stopping anytime soon. The team at Pink Avenue Models loves the holidays just like everyone else. As we all know appearance matters in the promotional modeling industry and promotional models like to watch their weight. Some models do crash diets and cut a lot of things out in an unhealthy way. Today we found an article in Cosmopolitan about a healthy detox that we recommend for models. It's easy, you won't starve and you can do it around your busy event schedule.
  1. Drink a lot. This means water, or tea not soda, energy drinks, or sugar filled juices.
  2. Make sure you are eating between 1400-1600 calories a day. Anything less than 1200 is bad for your body.
  3. Do not skip breakfast. Have something quick and healthy, oatmeal, apple and peanut butter, greek yogurt.
  4. Fill your plate with lean proteins like chicken, fish, whole grain and veggies.
  5. Carry healthy snacks with you, nuts or fruits are a perfect snack.
  6. Cut out refined sugars, white flour, rice, high fat meats, dairy and soda.
  7. Remember to exercise!
  8. Don't cut gluten out of your diet, unless you have an allergy of course.
These simple 8 steps are easy, keep you energized but will prevent you from putting on holiday weight. Good luck ladies!
