Gym Shoes Instead Of Heels?

I have been hearing about this all day from numerous sources. Apparently models are wearing gym shoes with pretty dresses on the runway, this is a new thing and it looks awesome. The shoes featured in this article are expensive, some are thousands of dollars. Promotional models are usually required to wear heels, taller girls grab more attention because they are seen easier. All of our trade show clients, and most of our events require models to wear heels. Seeing that gym shoes are becoming popular makes me wonder if clients will change their minds, my guess is no.
