What Not To Wear This Weekend

Halloween is my favorite holiday, I love everything about it. I love the weather, the activities, the costumes and getting to be creative. I saw this article and thought I would share it. It is 32 awful costumes that should not be worn by any promotional model and should never be worn at any event. These costumes just don't make any sense. How To Get A Model Body

I didn't know what to blog about today and then I saw this article, it's perfect! Today I ate mac and cheese because it's cold in Chicago and we will be fully covered for the next couple of months, and we love food in the Midwest. While reading this I thought that I should go to the gym then I realized that I won't be walking in the biggest fashion show of the year. I can't imagine being a model and walking in front of people that are staring at your body in harsh light, that sounds awful! Well if you want a body like a Victoria's Secret model you can work out for 5 hours a day like them. My Social Media Complaint

The team at Pink Avenue Models doesn't usually post on social media websites to find promotional models. We like to hire talent that has submitted on our website, been approved and added to our database. We look for models that have experience and great pictures that we can forward on to our clients. With all of this said we are aware of all of the groups on facebook and I noticed something while looking through the pages the other day. I saw a ton of postings which is great if that is how modeling agencies want to find their staff. What bothered me was the comments from the promotional models looking for work. The main comment that bothered me was "I applied but they never responded." This bothered me because they don't understand how many emails the modeling agency receives a day. I would say on an average day I receive at least 100 emails/phone calls. We try to respond to everyone, especially if its about an event, payment, or questions that you may have. When it comes to castings we can not respond to everyone that is available for the event. Our process is reaching out to our staff, sending pictures and stats of available models to our client, then contacting the models that the client has selected. It would be impossible for us to reach out to everyone that wasn't selected, it's just how this industry works. My recommendation for commenting on social media is either don't do it or keep it simple and positive. I hope you all are having a busy Fall and a busy trade show season! Team Pink Avenue

NBAA - Orlando!

The team at Pink Avenue Models doesn't staff a ton of events in Florida but we have a pretty big one coming up! We are teaming up with a new client and staffed 14 promotional models for an upcoming event. NBAA2014 – Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition is the worlds largest and most important aviation event. There will be over 1,000 exhibitors and over 25,000 attendees. This show will be taking place at the Orange County Convention Center on October 21 - 23. American Society of Plastic Surgeons Show - Success!

While working on this event I thought the outfit sounded very unique and a little complicated but I couldn't be happier with how the uniform turned out.
