Flashback Friday! Ferrari Event!

Automechanika Chicago 2015!

The team at Pink Avenue Models is excited to be teaming up with a new client for a trade show coming to Chicago next month. This event will take place at McCormick Place at the end of April. Automechanika is the largest trade show and training event for the automotive aftermarket industry. This trade show was created for collision shop owners, technicians, jobbers, distributers, and more. This sounds like an event that I need to attend so I can learn more about cars and how to fix them! We are looking forward to staffing promotional models for this event. Team Pink Avenue

One of my favorite trade shows of all time will be taking place in May. The NRA is definitely on my top 5 trade shows to work list, I think most promotional models would agree. My Favorite Hair Tip EVER!

We all know that things are going to get extremely busy soon and we are so excited! Summer is coming and all of the festivals will be going on. Getting ready for events is not my favorite thing to do, hair and make up takes forever! Today I saw a video about curling your hair with no heat and in less than 5 minutes. I thought it was fake so I looked into it. Here is a link to almost 70 different videos of how to curl your hair in no time and without heat, it is amazing! My Favorite Chicago Trade Shows

The team at Pink Avenue Models specializes in staffing trade shows. We are located in Chicago and are lucky to have some of the biggest trade shows in the world. I have worked over 50 trade shows and have learned that some don't feel like work and some are torture. Here is a list of my top 5 favorite trade shows to work. If you are a trade show model in Chicago you should try and work these shows, they are the best!

1. NRA. The National Restaurant Association puts on a great show. This convention has every kind of food, drink, and anything else you might see in a restaurant or hotel. Rows and rows of heaven!
2. ABS. America's Beauty Show is every girls dream. This show has rows of hair, make up, nail products, tanning supplies and anything else a girl needs to get ready. Just make sure you don't sign up to get a crazy hair cut or colorful dye job.
3. Sweets & Snacks Expo. This is a smaller show but similar to the NRA. The only problem with this is that the NRA and Sweets & Snacks overlap so you can usually only work one or the other.
4. NACS. This is a wild show full of music, customers in jeans, and any snack your heart desires. This is a very relaxed show. Unfortunately this show changes cities every year and hasn't been in Chicago the last couple of years, Las Vegas stole it from us last year.
5. Chicago Auto Show. Promotional models probably think I am crazy for saying this because this is a 10 day show and it hurts your body but the paycheck is great. If you are lucky enough to find a client that only books you on the weekend that is the perfect situation. We all learned that you have to reward yourself after 10 days at McCormick Place.

Busy Season Has Arrived!

As we all know Spring has finally arrived! It is 72 degrees in Chicago today and we couldn't be more excited. Warmer weather brings more events to this city. The team at Pink Avenue Models is earing up for a busy Spring/Summer full of events. We plan on having tons of great trade shows, street teams, outdoor events and other promotions all over the country. Are you ready for a busy season? Pull out those black dresses, khaki pants/shorts and gym shoes because things are going to get busy very soon! We are looking forward to working with all of our promotional models very soon! High Heels Can Cause Serious Damage

Heels hurt our feet but I don't know if promotional models know how bad heels are for them. Most trade shows and promotions require wearing heels, street teams and some other events allow flats. I remember wearing 5 inch heels while working trade shows because that was all that I had, now I look for the smallest heel I can find and dread wearing them. Heels can cause permanent damage and are not only bad for your feet but can also cause problems through your legs and back. Flashback Friday!

We have been teaming up with this amazing client for the past couple of years. They always have great events during baseball season, the weather is warm and people are out having a great time. These events take place in Chicago by Wrigley Field so you can imagine how fun they can be. Our promotional models are hired to pass out beer in the bars, it's a rough event.
