It's back, Forex Network New York will be taking place next month at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This is a full day of discussions about current and future developments for the foreign exchange industry. Registration starts at 7am and goes all the way to 5:30pm when the cocktail reception starts. We are excited to be working with one of our favorite clients and to be staffing promotional models for this event. Congrats to the models that are selected!

FMI 2012 - The Food Retail Show

The team at Pink Avenue Models is excited to be staffing events in Dallas, we love Texas! The Food Retail Show will be taking place at the Dallas Convention Center April 30-May 3. This trade show is expected to have over 25,000 people from over 90 countries and over 1,200 exhibitors. This is a huge event with 4 shows in 1. We are staffing promotional models for this event because every trade show needs models. I wonder which amazing models of ours will be selected to work this fun show!

Corporate Party - Chicago!

The team at Pink Avenue Models staffs numerous events every week all over the country. We are casting for an awesome event next week in Chicago and I am so excited about it. We staff tons of trade shows, street teams, and special events but I am really excited about the one next week. This event will be taking place at one of the hottest clubs in Chicago and is a themed party! One of our favorite clients hosts parties annually and we are always excited to be part of it. This year the models will be dressed as flappers to match the prohibition theme. We just started casting today and can not wait to see which promotional models get selected for this fun event! Simple Ways Promotional Models Can Help Us

The team at Pink Avenue Models works hard staffing events all over the country. We staff trade shows, street teams, special events, liquor promotions, and even print and video work in numerous cities everyday. We love what we do and appreciate all of the hard work from our promotional models. Here are a few things we ask of our staff to help us out...

1. Please sign and return your paperwork on time. We understand that some events come up last minute but please get it to us asap. We need this as an agreement between the model and the modeling agency and also to pay you on time.
2. Please show up to your event on time, which means 15 minutes early. It's nice when the client doesn't have to call us and ask where their hired staff is.
3. Arrive hair and make up ready. One of the worst calls we can get is our client saying the models showed up fresh out of bed and don't look like their pictures. It's hard for me to call a model and tell her to fix her hair and make up.
4. Respond to any email, phone call or text from the agency. Anytime we contact you it's for a reason.
5. Where the proper attire. This is another thing that is in your contract, the client specifically requested it, and it needs to be followed.
6. Return any receipts within 48 hours so we can bill the client and reimburse you. Read your contract because not every event reimburses for parking. If you turn in your receipt 1,2 or 3 weeks late you will not be reimbursed.
7. Show up ready to work, smile, have fun and represent the brand the best you can. Remember you are being paid well and should love what you do.

IBS - NYC!

The International Beauty Show will be taking place at the Javits Center in New York April 22-24. The team at Pink Avenue Models has been casting promotional models for this amazing event. This is the longest running professionals-only beauty show in the nation and is not open to the public. This trade show is amazing and is heaven for any model that gets to work it. The IBS contains any product that a girl needs to get ready and more. We are excited to be staffing models for this event, can't wait!

Scott Stapp Promotion - Success!

The team at Pink Avenue Models staffed a last minute event over the weekend. Our client requested a team of promotional models to work a street team promoting the new book by Scott Stapp, the lead singer from the band Creed. The girls were hired to work outside of the Chicago Theater during the Creed concerts last weekend. They were handing out bookmarks to promote the new book. ITW 2012!

Another amazing event coming to Chicago, the ITW show. International Telecoms Week will be taking place at the Hyatt Regency next month and we are so excited to be part of this. This event is the meeting point for for the global telecommunications community. There will be more than 5,300 attendees from over 1,700 companies, representing 150+ countries. Companies meet to buy and sell voice and data products and services. This show has tons of great sponsors, and is a must for anyone in this industry. 10 Dresses Every Model Should Own

It's a fact, most girls love shopping! The team at Pink Avenue Models blogs about a lot of things... events that we've booked, new trends, tips for the promotional modeling world, advice to new models and so much more. We've blogged in the past about shoes and clothes that every woman should own and today we are going to list dresses that every girl should have in her closet. It's nice because these dresses can be worn at trade shows and events as well as out for girls night or date night. We love giving our models another reason to shop!
1.Flirty summer dress. Get a pretty color, dress it up with heels and jewelry or down with sandals and a cardigan.
2.Floral print dress. Can be worn every where and prints are in this season.
3.Floor length dress. This can be dressed up or down as well. Make sure you pick the right one for your body type.
4.Party dress. Something fitted, glittery and attention grabbing. This will be your go to dress for a good night out.
5.Knee length tailored dress. This will be for conservative events. Its fitted but covers everything.
6.Mini dress. This should be bright and worn on fun and flirty nights.
7.Sexy dress. Fitted but not revealing. People need to imagine what is under there, sexy doesn't mean showing everything.
8.White dress. Obviously this is needed for white parties but now can be worn in all seasons. Just make sure you use the right accessories.
9.LBD (little black dress). This is a must! Every girl needs at least 1 amazing black dress that can be worn at any occasion.

Some of our models get to wear dresses all year round, here in Chicago we have limited dress season. If you have all these dresses you are all set, if not I just gave you a reason to go shopping! Enjoy, you deserve it!

Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Show

Tomorrow night a couple of our Minnesota models will be working an event for the Minnesota Petroleum Marketers Show. This will be the 89th convention and trade show for this association. These promotional models were hired to work a cocktail reception for one of our clients. They will be greeting attendees, making sure everyone is having a great time, passing out drinks and mingling. We are excited about this event especially because it's in a state we don't book models in as often. Good luck tomorrow girls, I know you will do great!
