Gym Shoes Instead Of Heels?

I have been hearing about this all day from numerous sources. Apparently models are wearing gym shoes with pretty dresses on the runway, this is a new thing and it looks awesome. The shoes featured in this article are expensive, some are thousands of dollars. Promotional models are usually required to wear heels, taller girls grab more attention because they are seen easier. All of our trade show clients, and most of our events require models to wear heels. Seeing that gym shoes are becoming popular makes me wonder if clients will change their minds, my guess is no. How To Apply Fake Lashes - Super Easy!

Everyone has things that bother them, I have a couple things that drive me crazy when it comes to make up. I see promotional models on site all the time and they are paid to look amazing and promote a brand. There is nothing worse then seeing models at trade shows or events and noticing that they tried to hard. I get it, everyone does their make up differently and learned different ways. The 2 things that really bother me is the make up line from foundation, and bad fake lashes. When I hear the word model I think gorgeous, glamorous, rich, tall, and famous. After working in this industry I have learned that I am completely wrong. Yes, there are supermodels that fit my description but there aren't many. Chicago Auto Show 2014

The Chicago Auto Show is coming up, less than a month away! We have a ton of promotional models that travel and work the auto shows often so they know what to expect. The auto show is a long, tiring, but fun event to work. For an event like this agencies want to hire their best talent. They want reliable, professional, outgoing staff that can work 8+ hours for 10 days in a row. Modeling agencies can't staff promotional models that will call in sick, or whine about being tired or sore from standing. If this is your first auto show here are a couple of tips for you to make it through this 10 day event.

1. Get lots of sleep. This show is exhausting and you need to have as much patience as possible. You will be talking to people your entire shift.
2. Bring your lunch. You can by food at McCormick Place but it will be expensive and isn't healthy at all.
3. Invest in comfortable shoes, you will be standing your whole shift.
4. Take public transit, parking is nearly impossible.
5. Dress warm, the convention center is always on the cooler side.

If you have read this blog throughout the years you know how much I hate the term "booth babe" I hate everything about it. Call them promotional models, trade show models, models, brand ambassadors, hostesses, crowd gatherers, call them anything but booth babe. Yes, they are attractive but they are so much more than that. They are educated, smart, and have goals in life. Booth babe makes them sound like they are hot and dumb.
